Individually each essential oil offers powerful cleaning properties, but when properly mixed with other ingredients or other essential oils, the cleaning potential is seemingly limitless. Not to mention non toxic to you and your pets. Now your not going to clean with all essential oils, they just don’thave the cleaning properties but there are alot you can use.
Im going to give you a few examples, but first lets talk about the Thieves household cleaner from Young Living . Simple its just awesome. It is made with the famous thieves essential oil and comes ready to be diluted to fit your needs. can be diluted all the way down to make a window cleaner. I will give you a couple of recipes I use with the thieves cleaner.
Do you like the Method cleaner with mint? I love the smell but its not as pure as they say. If you can actually read it.
MY BETTER THAN METHOD CLEANER
1/4 cup or less of Thieves household cleaner
8 drops of Spearmint essential oil
6 to 8 drops of Eucalyptus gloulus
Add to a 25 oz spray bottle with water shake and use .
WOOD CLEANER
1/2 cup Almond sweet oil ( I get mine from Essential Depot on amazon)
6 to 8 drops of orange Essential oil
water
Mix all ingredients in a small spray bottle about an 8 oz. size shake each use. I add water because it is way to thick to use for everyday use. and most wood cleaners add water so they can be sprayed and thinner consistency.. You don’t need it thick you need it to moisturize your wood only.
MIRROR AND CHROME CLEANER
1 cup White Vinegar
10-15 drops of Lemon Essential Oil
Distilled water
Add to a 1 quart spray bottle. shake well before using
SOFT SCRUB
1/4 CUP Thieves Household Cleaner
1/2 cup baking soda
Combine and apply mixture with a clean cloth or sponge and scrub surface thoroughly. Let sit 10 min and rinse clean. Awesome for toilets!
SCOURING SCRUB
4 to 6 drops of Purification
1/2 cup of baking soda
stir the oil into the baking soda. Baking soda will take on the smell. Use for sinks, drains, and toilets.
These are just a few options to try . But if you are tired of burning up your skin and inhaling toxic chemicals . Give the power of essential oils a try. It will also save you money which is an added bonus.
